It’s so important in the electrical sector to keep on top of industry regulations and ensure that all of our employees are trained to the highest standards.
Everything is constantly changing with electrical work as technologies progress and new products and systems come into the market. We need to make sure we’re up to date on how to safely and correctly install these, as well as ensuring we’re up to date with the ever-evolving regulations.
We have just put seven of our guys through their 18th edition regulation course, as well as two more through the SSSTS safety supervisor training, one on the IOSH Managing Safely course, as well as first aid training, and even more.
For us as electrical contractors dedicated to training, this isn’t just something we do on a ‘one-off’ basis, it’s done throughout the year. We have a constant rolling programme of training, which enables us to not only keep us all up to date on regulations, but to ensure we are all operating with health and safety at the top of our minds at all times.
Making sure we have a high knowledge base across our workforce is imperative to ensuring we can respond to any call our clients make. We know we can deliver quality electrical installations, testing, electrical design, as well as using our project management skills to help support our clients, principal contractors and partners, to the best of our ability.
And let’s not forget our commitment to apprenticeships.
In this business, we all started out as apprentices at some stage or another, and so we appreciate the importance of starting out your career at an early stage, learning from experienced professionals, and building your skills and knowledge, both in the classroom and on-the-job as you earn.
We currently have a few apprentices working with us, and it’s fantastic to see how well they are doing, and how much they are learning from the experienced technicians they are working with.
We know the 18th Edition regulations are our top priority at the minute, bringing our team up to date and equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to deliver a top quality, approved and compliant job. But that’s not everything, and we are always keeping an eye on what we have to do, both in the technical areas and those other elements of our job, which still carry great importance, such as health and safety and first aid.
Our clients can be assured that when it comes to training, we are keeping ourselves up to date and, in some cases, ahead of the game.
